Average Growth Rate of Total Receipts of States

The growth rate of the total receipt indicates how the state’s resources are performing over a period of time. Following visualisations depicts the average growth rate of total receipts during the period of 2017-18 and 2021-22. There are wide variations among the year-on-year growth rate of total receipts among the states. Among the non-special category states, Odisha, Maharashtra and Karnataka have the highest growth rate, while Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have the lowest. Among the special category states, Assam, Tripura and Sikkim have the highest growth rate, while Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Nagaland are among the lowest.
