Own Tax Revenue Receipts of States vs Share in Central Taxes
The most important recommendation of any finance commission is the share of union taxes to be shared with the states. Over the 15th FC period, the average share of States in Central Taxes has been around 44per cent while the average share of own tax revenue receipts in the total receipts has been around 83per cent. The States which have their highest share in Central Taxes are Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
