Total Receipts of States

During the 15th FC period, on an average the total receipts as percentage of GSDP constituted around 25 per cent. The total receipts of almost all the states has increased particularly visible in case of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. The north eastern States such as Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland continue to have dismal picture of the total resources pool available to them for incurring welfare oriented expenditure. The composition of the revenue receipts over the period of last 4 years follows the same pattern as the total receipts. However, we can observe an increase in the share of capital receipts of States like Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
